Christmas Tree Collection

About 20 Cubs and Scouts started the year working towards their Group Environmental Award whilst fundraising for Group Funds. The Cubs and Scouts along with a number of Leaders, members of the Exec and parents spent a couple of hours on Saturday morning collecting Christmas trees (for a small donation) from around Broookwood and transported them to the local Christmas Tree Collection point. All those involved braved the Sub-Zero temperatures abd the occassional flake of snow to collect over 60 trees and raise about £200 for group funds.

Dunxford Museum

On the 18th October a group of 25 1st Brookwood Cubs , leaders and parent helpers joined a district trip to RAF Duxford. The cubs spent a fantastic day viewing and boarding aircraft of all types and sizes, whatching aircraft displays and paying particular interest in the second World War display of tanks and shelters. By completing a booklet as they went round the base they qualified for their Air Activities Badge. A great day was had by all!
